Describing sediments or landforms created by flowing water, such as rivers and streams. Alluvial deposits consist of unconsolidated material like sand, gravel, silt, and clay, transported and deposited by water. These deposits are often found in floodplains, riverbeds, deltas, and alluvial fans, forming potential reservoir rocks in some basins.
