Anchor balloon

A tethered balloon used to carry meteorological instruments aloft for atmospheric soundings or continuous measurements at a fixed altitude. It is anchored to the ground by a cable, allowing for controlled ascent and descent. These balloons are often used for boundary layer studies or air quality monitoring.
