Axis of anticyclone

The imaginary line or region of highest pressure that runs through the center of an anticyclonic circulation. Air flows outward and clockwise (in the Northern Hemisphere) around this axis, with sinking motion occurring along it. This axis typically corresponds to an area of clear skies and stable atmospheric conditions.
