Backlobe

A minor lobe in the radiation pattern of an antenna, directed opposite to the main lobe. While the main lobe focuses energy in the desired direction, the backlobe represents unwanted radiation or reception from the rear. It can contribute to interference or reduce the efficiency of a radar system.
