Bipolar pattern

A spatial pattern in atmospheric or oceanic variables characterized by opposing anomalies in two distinct geographical regions. For instance, one region experiences warmer temperatures while another experiences cooler temperatures. This pattern often indicates a teleconnection, where atmospheric processes in one area influence conditions in a distant area.
