Birainy climate
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003926
A climate regime characterized by two distinct rainy seasons separated by two relatively dry periods within a single year. This pattern is common in tropical regions near the equator where the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) passes over twice annually. The timing and intensity of these two rainy seasons are influenced by the seasonal migration of the ITCZ and local geographical factors.
