Bulk heat flux
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004071
The total rate of heat transfer across an interface, such as the air-sea interface, calculated using simplified parameterizations based on bulk meteorological variables. This flux represents the combined effect of sensible and latent heat exchange. It is commonly estimated using formulas that relate the heat transfer to differences in temperature, humidity, and wind speed between the two media.
