Bulk transfer law
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004077
A set of empirical relationships used to estimate turbulent fluxes of momentum, heat, and moisture between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere based on mean atmospheric variables. These laws simplify complex turbulent processes into formulations that depend on differences in wind speed, temperature, and humidity between the surface and a given height. They are widely applied in numerical weather prediction and climate models to represent surface-atmosphere interactions.
