Gas laws
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-001128
A set of empirical laws describing the relationships between the pressure, volume, and temperature of a gas. These include Boyle's law, Charles's law, and Gay-Lussac's law, which are combined to form the ideal gas law, expressed as PV = nRT. This equation of state is a foundational principle in atmospheric thermodynamics for modeling the behavior of air parcels under different conditions.
The thermodynamic laws pertaining to perfect gases, including Boyle's law, Charles' law, Dalton's law and the equation of state.
