Flux-profile relationships
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005664
Mathematical expressions that link the vertical gradients of mean atmospheric variables, such as wind speed, temperature, and humidity, to the turbulent fluxes of momentum, heat, and moisture. These relationships are derived from similarity theory and describe how fluxes are distributed within the atmospheric surface layer. They are widely used in micrometeorology to estimate surface fluxes from profile measurements.
