Monin-obukhov similarity theory
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007396
A theoretical framework used to describe the mean profiles of wind, temperature, and humidity within the atmospheric surface layer under conditions of varying stability. It posits that these profiles, when appropriately scaled, are universal functions of a dimensionless stability parameter. This theory is widely applied in micrometeorology and for parameterizing surface fluxes in numerical models.
