Businger-Dyer relationship

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010413

A set of empirical formulas describing the vertical profiles of mean wind speed, temperature, and humidity within the atmospheric surface layer under different stability conditions. These relationships are derived from Monin-Obukhov similarity theory and are widely used in micrometeorology. They are typically applied within the lowest 10% of the atmospheric boundary layer.
