Bulk transfer coefficient
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004076
A dimensionless parameter that quantifies the efficiency of turbulent exchange processes, such as momentum, heat, or moisture, between the Earth's surface and the atmosphere. It relates the turbulent flux of a quantity to the mean difference in that quantity between the surface and a reference height in the atmospheric boundary layer. These coefficients are often determined empirically from field measurements or through numerical modeling.
