Capacity of the wind

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004134

The maximum amount of sediment or other particulate matter that wind can transport under given atmospheric conditions. This capacity is primarily determined by wind speed, with higher speeds enabling the transport of larger and greater quantities of particles. It is a key factor in understanding aeolian processes such as erosion and deposition.
