Cathode-ray oscilloscope

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004198

An electronic instrument that displays varying electrical signals as waveforms on a screen. It uses a cathode-ray tube to deflect an electron beam, creating a visual representation of voltage changes over time. This device is used in atmospheric science for analyzing rapidly changing electrical phenomena, such as lightning discharges or radar signals.
