Coherence time
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004485
The duration over which a wave maintains a predictable phase relationship, or the time interval during which a signal's phase can be considered constant. In radar meteorology, it indicates how long a radar pulse remains coherent enough for effective signal processing, such as Doppler velocity estimation. This parameter is inversely related to the spectral width of the received signal.
