Coherence
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004484
A statistical measure of the correlation between two or more wave signals or time series as a function of frequency. It quantifies the degree to which the signals maintain a constant phase relationship over time or space. A coherence value of 1 indicates a perfect linear relationship at a given frequency, while a value of 0 signifies no relationship.
