Copolarized signal
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004696
The component of a radar signal that has the same polarization as the transmitted signal, after being scattered by atmospheric targets. For example, if a horizontally polarized wave is transmitted, the copolarized signal is the horizontally polarized component of the received echo. This signal is used to derive reflectivity and other meteorological parameters.
