Coplane scanning
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004695
A radar scanning strategy where two or more radar antennas are positioned to scan the same atmospheric volume within a common plane. This technique allows for the simultaneous measurement of different radar parameters or from different perspectives, enhancing the ability to resolve atmospheric structures and wind fields. It is often used in dual-Doppler radar systems.
