Spiral scanning

A method of data acquisition used by some meteorological radars where the antenna rotates continuously while simultaneously changing its elevation angle in a spiral pattern. This technique allows for the rapid collection of volumetric data. It is employed to create three-dimensional representations of precipitation and atmospheric structures.
