Critical point
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004764
The specific temperature and pressure at which the liquid and gas phases of a substance become indistinguishable, forming a supercritical fluid. Above this point, increasing pressure will not cause a gas to condense into a liquid. For water, the critical point is approximately 374 °C and 22.1 MPa.
