Directional distribution

The pattern describing how a quantity, such as wind speed or wave height, varies with direction. It provides information on the prevalence of certain directions for a given meteorological or oceanographic phenomenon. For example, a wind rose graphically depicts the directional distribution of wind speeds at a specific location.
