Dissipation constant
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005064
A parameter that characterizes the rate at which energy is lost from a system, often through viscous friction or other resistive forces. In atmospheric turbulence, it relates to the rate at which kinetic energy is converted into heat at the smallest scales. This constant is used in models of turbulent energy cascades.
