Radar constant
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008262
A fixed value used in the radar equation that accounts for the physical characteristics of a specific radar system, such as antenna gain, transmitted power, and wavelength. This constant allows for the conversion of received radar power into meteorological quantities like reflectivity. It is determined during the radar's design and calibration.
