Kolmogorov constant
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006802
A dimensionless constant that appears in Kolmogorov's theory of isotropic turbulence, specifically in the inertial subrange of the energy spectrum. It relates the energy spectrum to the dissipation rate of turbulent kinetic energy and the wavenumber. Its value is approximately 0.5 to 0.6 for the one-dimensional spectrum.
