Effective stack height

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005287

The actual height at which pollutants are released into the atmosphere, considering both the physical height of the emission stack and the additional rise due to buoyancy and momentum of the plume. This combined height determines the initial dispersion characteristics of the emitted substances. It is a key parameter in air quality modeling for predicting ground-level pollutant concentrations.
