Mixing potential
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007339
A measure of the atmosphere's capacity to dilute and disperse pollutants, often related to the depth of the mixed layer and the wind speed within it. Higher mixing potential indicates better dispersion conditions, reducing ground-level pollutant concentrations. It is a key factor in air quality forecasting and regulatory assessments.
