Electronic theodolite
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005334
A surveying instrument that measures horizontal and vertical angles with high precision, incorporating electronic sensors and digital displays. Unlike optical theodolites, it provides digital readouts and often includes data storage capabilities. While primarily used in surveying, similar electronic angle-measuring principles are applied in some meteorological tracking systems for balloons or rockets.
