First-order climatological station

A meteorological observing site that provides continuous, detailed weather measurements and is staffed by certified observers. These stations record hourly or more frequent observations of temperature, precipitation, wind, pressure, humidity, and cloud cover using calibrated instruments. The data collected meet the highest standards set by organizations like the World Meteorological Organization and form the primary basis for long-term climate records and synoptic weather forecasting.
