Fog deposit

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005684

The accumulation of liquid water droplets from fog onto surfaces such as vegetation, structures, or the ground. This process occurs when fog droplets impact and adhere to objects, often in mountainous or coastal regions where fog is prevalent. It contributes to the water budget of ecosystems, particularly in arid or semi-arid environments where other forms of precipitation are scarce.
