Fog horizon

The apparent line where the fog layer meets the sky, resembling a true horizon but formed by the upper boundary of a fog bank. This visual phenomenon occurs when an observer is situated within or above a widespread fog layer. The height of the fog horizon depends on the observer's elevation and the vertical extent of the fog.
