Fully rough flow
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005850
A type of fluid flow where the roughness elements on a surface are large enough to protrude through the viscous sublayer, significantly influencing the flow resistance. In this regime, the drag coefficient is independent of the Reynolds number and depends solely on the relative roughness of the surface. This condition is often observed in turbulent flows over rough terrain or surfaces.
