Humidity strip

A component within certain meteorological instruments, such as radiosondes or hygrographs, designed to measure atmospheric humidity. This strip typically consists of a material that changes its physical properties, such as electrical resistance or length, in response to variations in moisture content. Hair hygrometers use human or animal hair as the sensing element.
