Ice pole

The point taken as the middle of the most heavily consolidated Arctic pack ice, located near 83 to 84 degrees N and 160 degrees W in the Canada Basin north of Alaska. In this older sense it is also called the pole of inaccessibility, and it does not coincide with the geographic North Pole.
