Induction icing

The accumulation of ice within an aircraft's engine air intake system, restricting airflow and potentially leading to engine power loss or failure. This occurs when supercooled water droplets are ingested and freeze on internal surfaces. It is a serious hazard for aircraft operating in freezing conditions.
