Isothermal equilibrium
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006724
A state of thermodynamic equilibrium where the temperature is uniform throughout a system and remains constant over time. In atmospheric contexts, this implies no net heat transfer within the system. This condition is rarely perfectly met in the dynamic atmosphere but can be approximated in specific situations.
