Meteoric water

Water that has recently been in the atmosphere, originating from precipitation such as rain, snow, or hail. This water infiltrates the ground and becomes part of the groundwater system or surface runoff. Its isotopic composition, particularly deuterium and oxygen-18, reflects the atmospheric conditions at the time of its formation.
Water derived from precipitation.
