Meteosat

A series of geostationary meteorological satellites operated by EUMETSAT, providing continuous observation of weather over Europe, Africa, and parts of the Indian Ocean. These satellites collect visible and infrared imagery, as well as water vapor data, to support weather forecasting and climate monitoring. The first Meteosat satellite was launched in 1977.
