Himawari

A series of geostationary meteorological satellites operated by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). These satellites provide continuous imagery and data for weather forecasting, typhoon monitoring, and environmental observation over the East Asia and Western Pacific regions. Himawari-8 and Himawari-9 are the current operational satellites in this series.
