Multispectral scanner
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007461
An optical-mechanical or electronic device used in remote sensing to collect reflected or emitted radiation from the Earth's surface in multiple, distinct spectral bands. It typically employs a scanning mirror or an array of detectors to sweep across the scene, capturing data for each spectral channel. Data from these scanners are used to create images that reveal details about vegetation, land use, and atmospheric conditions.
