Multispectral remote sensing

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010631

The acquisition of image data across several discrete spectral bands of the electromagnetic spectrum. Each band captures information about how different surfaces reflect or emit radiation at specific wavelengths. This technique is used in atmospheric science to monitor cloud properties, aerosol distribution, and land surface characteristics from satellites or aircraft.
