Partial obscuration
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007806
A meteorological condition where a portion of the sky is hidden from view by a surface-based phenomenon, such as fog, mist, smoke, or blowing snow. Unlike a full obscuration, some part of the sky, usually above the horizon, remains visible. This condition affects visibility and is reported in aviation weather observations.
