Pitot-tube anemometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007954
An instrument that measures wind speed by determining the difference between total pressure and static pressure in the airflow. It consists of two tubes: one facing into the wind to measure total pressure and another with side openings to measure static pressure. The velocity of the air is then calculated from this pressure differential using Bernoulli's principle.
