Pressure-sphere anemometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008141
An instrument designed to measure wind speed based on the pressure difference created by airflow around a spherical object. The pressure at the stagnation point on the sphere's windward side is higher than the pressure on the leeward side. This pressure differential is then correlated to wind velocity.
