Planck function
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007957
A mathematical formula that specifies the spectral radiance of an ideal black body. It expresses this radiance as a function of both the body's absolute temperature and the frequency or wavelength of the emitted radiation. The function's peak shifts to shorter wavelengths as temperature increases, a principle described by Wien's displacement law.
