Plane flow
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007962
A type of fluid motion where the velocity components are confined to a single plane, and there is no variation of flow properties perpendicular to that plane. This simplification is often used in meteorological modeling to analyze atmospheric processes in two dimensions. Examples include idealized models of fronts or sea breezes.
