Point target

A radar target whose dimensions are small compared with the pulse volume and that scatters as a single object, such as an aircraft, a bird or a metal calibration sphere. Its echo power falls off with the fourth power of range, whereas the echo from a distributed target such as precipitation falls off with the square of range.
