Echo frequency
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005250
The frequency of the electromagnetic or acoustic wave that is reflected back to a radar or sonar system from a target. For meteorological radar, this is the same frequency as the transmitted pulse, unless there is a Doppler shift due to target motion. Common radar frequencies include S-band, C-band, and X-band.
