Echo contour
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005249
A line on a radar display that connects points of equal radar reflectivity, indicating areas of similar precipitation intensity. These contours are used to delineate the spatial extent and structure of precipitation echoes, allowing meteorologists to identify regions of heavy rain, snow, or hail. Radar systems typically display echo contours in different colors to represent varying intensity levels.
