Potential evapotranspiration
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008081
The maximum amount of water that could be removed from a vegetated surface through evaporation and plant transpiration, assuming an unlimited water supply. This value is determined by atmospheric conditions such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, and solar radiation. It represents the atmospheric demand for water from a well-watered vegetated surface.
